August Actors of the Month!

Guy Messenger is a career-long actor, born in Minneapolis. He studied acting at UCLA and at the Jean Shelton School of Acting.

His CIA episode, where he played Judge Williams, aired at the end of spring, and the good news has kept coming since. Two horror films that he plays supporting roles in, "One Eye Open" and "Devour" will scare audiences everywhere this fall. "One Eye Open" in particular will be opening in select AMC Theatres on October 16th, after a festival run where it won 11 different awards.

He's been keeping himself busy in the meantime, having just finished shooting a supporting role in a Lifetime film "Girl on a Plane", to be followed by the reprise of Interactive stage drama "The Jury Experience" at Granada Theater in Minneapolis.

When he's not on set filming, doing ADR for another SAG feature he shot last year called "Progeny," or self-taping for a commercial callback, he's performing in live music shows as a guitarist and lead vocalist for a 7-piece Jamaican SKA band "MEATRAFFLE" across the Midwest!

Julia Tolchin is an award-winning actor and voiceover artist whose work spans television, film, theater, and audio. She is recognized for her recurring roles on Hulu’s Life & Beth and CBS’ FBI: Most Wanted, and starred opposite Dina Meyer in Katie’s Mom (DirecTV/Amazon). Julia received her BFA in Acting from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Julia’s work has been featured at prestigious film festivals, including Dances With Films. Most recently, she produced and starred in the world premiere of the new two-hander drama Burl, portraying Janie ranging in age from 7 to 30 throughout its sold-out run—a testament to her versatility and transformative range as an actor.

A lifelong student of her craft, Julia has trained with world-renowned acting coaches and performed as part of a Commedia dell’Arte troupe in Florence, Italy. This month, audiences can catch her as Pam in Apple TV’s The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo, winner of Best Feature Film at the Burbank International Film Festival, as well as hear her as Wendy in the scripted audio drama Worlds Apart.

As her career continues to grow, Julia is excited to expand her work as a producer and is currently co-producing two independent film projects. She is passionate about creating bold, character-driven work both in front of and behind the camera.

Outside of acting, Julia is passionate about cooking, traveling, dance, Pilates, and spending time with her Pomsky, Ghost.
